Koh-I-Noor Mechanical Pencil - 5340 Khaki - 5.6mm 2B Lead
Founded in Vienna in 1790, Koh-I-Noor is one of the oldest and foremost names in art supplies and stationery items. Named after the famous Indian diamond, Koh-I-Noor patented the first pencil lead, created from graphite and clay. In the years to come Koh-I-Noor would set the standard for pencil manufacturing, their range winning awards at world exhibitions in London, Vienna, New York, Milan and Paris.
The 5340 Khaki Mechanical Pencil is a clutch pencil with metal jaws that 'clutch' a sliding piece of 5.6mm 2B lead. It is a wonderfully weighted sketch pencil, the 5340 is a wide diameter spring loaded pencil holder, with metal components and metallic green barrel. The 5.6mm 2B lead lead is suited to artistic uses, and comes with one 12cm long spare lead.
The lead is retracted or extended using a push button on the end of the metal barrel. Underneath this push button is a handy sharpening tool to keep your point sharp and precise. Not only is this convenient, it is strangely satisfying to use.
