The Palomino Blackwing is not just a pencil, it is an experience! The world's most famous pencil is made in Japan from Genuine Incense Cedar and has a special graphite formulation lead, making it the world's preeminent sketcher's pencil.

The Blackwing is the modern reincarnation of the famous Eberhard-Faber Blackwing. It is amazing to sketch with. The special graphite formulation lead behaves like a soft 4B Lead pencil but is special in so many ways. Described as writing with Black Velvet or even butter, the Blackwing is ridiculously smooth, soft and easy to use.

It has a soft and broad point that draws a very, very dark black line. The point wears away very easily, down to a soft sketch-friendly point, so the Blackwing does require frequent sharpening. The barrel is long (20.5cm) fairly wide (.75cm) and beautifully sleek, with an unmistakable, indeed legendary rectangular ferrule and eraser. The erasers are replaceable.
