Our range of notebooks and journals come in a variety of paper types:

  • Lined – lined or ruled paper is common in most notebooks and is made of horizontal ruled lines used to separate written lines of text. The most common type of rule is a medium spacing of 7.1mm rules.
  • Unlined – unlined or plain paper is fantastic for sketching, random thoughts and mind mapping as there are no printed lines on the page.
  • Graph – graph paper is known by many names but essentially graph paper is evenly spaced horizontal and vertical lines to form squares. There is 5×5mm quadrille, grid and squared graph paper which can be used for a multitude of technical and creative purposes.
  • Sketch – sketch paper is blank paper but of a higher paper quality. It may be made of fine cotton or laid paper. Commonly used by artists and watercolour painters these paper notebooks are perfect for sketching and painting.
  • Dot Gird – this unique and fabulous type of paper consists of a number of dots evenly distributed on the horizontal and vertical of the page to form a grid made only of dots. This paper type is favoured by graphic designers, architects and artists for its ease of use as freehand sketch tool.
  • French Seyes – the Seyes rule orignating in French is derived by the French Government ruling that all student must learn to write on this horizontal ruled paper type which is formed by 2 bold horizontal lines and 3 fainter horizontal lines between these bold ones. This paper type is excellent for learning to write and accurate penmanship for juniors.
